    Lembeh, Indonesia

Critters, critters, critters!! What more can we say?

Join us in the muck diving capital of the world, Lembeh — an underwater photographer’s dream!

The diving in Lembeh Strait is commonly referred to as muck diving or critter hunting. This unique type of diving generally means searching the seafloor for the small, unique critters that inhabit the black-sand slopes in the area.  Most of the diving is done in the calm bays or along the lush coastline of both mainland Sulawesi and Lembeh Island.

The body of water separating Lembeh and Sulawesi is known as Lembeh Strait, and is less than two miles wide at its widest point. Lembeh Resort is ideally situated at the midpoint of Lembeh Island, giving guests easy access to most dive sites in under 15 minutes via custom dive boats. Local dive guides have an unmatched knowledge of the area, with a combined 60,000+ dives in Lembeh Strait alone.

With guests divided into small groups and a maximum of four guests per dive guide, you’re guaranteed personal service. Upon arrival, each guest submits a wish-list of the animals they would like to see during their stay, which the dive staff will use to tailor the dive-site schedule.

Critters@Lembeh Resort is the onsite dive operator at Lembeh Dive Resort & Spa, combining the No. 1 resort in North Sulawesi with the best dive center for digital photographers.
